Sedgley Park Sure Start
The Building works involved the construction of a traditionally built single storey building. The building has reinforced strip foundations, cavity external walls and blockwork inner walls, there are some steelwork supports, the roof being a shallow pitched trussed roof, tile covered.Internally the building has plastered walls and ceilings, joinery fittings, timber doors, frames architraves and skirtings, a folding partition wall, kitchen and WC cubicles.Client: Manchester City Council Value: £610k

Sale Road Children's Centre
The works undertaken at Sale Road comprised of an extension to the existing visitors centre including a new roof to all of the building.The site was located in a large, densely populated and predominately low-rise residential area and is accessed via a busy main road.The relocation of a community garden and the construction of a new external creche play area with a new entrance canopy were also included within the works.Client: Manchester City Council Value: £400k

The school site was located on a busy main road in a semi-rural suburb with residential properties and recreation playing fields close by.
The school was in use throughout the contract period with the works consisting of alterations to the existing school buildings and the construction of a single storey extension.

Byers Green Primary School
Primarilly the construction of a new single storey primary school with a timber frame structure including external works.The new building is a timber framed construction and traditional methods were used. Newlands Junior & Infants School
The refurbishment/ construction of a new Early Years Children's Centre, which is just one of the five that have been undertaken for Wakefield Metropolitan Borough Council.The construction includes a new flat roofed covered play area consisting of a steel framework and single layer flat roof with security shutters.Alterations works took place to existing classrooms with a small extension with a pitched tiled roof and cavity wall construction facing bricks and blocks.External works consisted of a 1200mm high fence to create a secure environment for the children.Client: Wakefield Metropolitan Borough CouncilValue: £300k

Ripon College and Grammar School
Two partnered projects which were run simultaneously with sites adjacent to each other. For Ripon College the works involved the construction of a new 2 storey library and classroom block with the demolition of part of the existing college to form a hard play area for basketball, tennis and 5 a-side football. For Ripon Grammar School the works involved the construction of a two storey IT and classroom block and demolition of a number of existing temporary buildings. The new build element of both projects was scheduled for 36 weeks with the College handed over three weeks early and the Grammar School five weeks early allowing both establishments to take possession prior to the start of the new school year.

Woodfield Primary School
A new build two storey primary school in a restrictive site.Works included playgrounds, car parking and demolition of the existing school. The site was bounded on all four sides by protected trees, therefore a "Geoweb" system was installed in order to spread the construction load thus preventing damage to delicate root systems.Client: Wigan CouncilValue: £2.6m
