Sedgley Park Sure Start
The Building works involved the construction of a traditionally built single storey building. The building has reinforced strip foundations, cavity external walls and blockwork inner walls, there are some steelwork supports, the roof being a shallow pitched trussed roof, tile covered.Internally the building has plastered walls and ceilings, joinery fittings, timber doors, frames architraves and skirtings, a folding partition wall, kitchen and WC cubicles.Client: Manchester City Council  Value: £610k

Sale Road Children's Centre
The works undertaken at Sale Road comprised of an extension to the existing visitors centre including a new roof to all of the building.The site was located in a large, densely populated and predominately low-rise residential area and is accessed via a busy main road.The relocation of a community garden and the construction of a new external creche play area with a new entrance canopy were also included within the works.Client: Manchester City Council  Value: £400k

New Earswick Primary School
The school site was located on a busy main road in a semi-rural suburb with residential properties and recreation playing fields close by. The school was in use throughout the contract period with the works consisting of alterations to the existing school buildings and the construction of a single storey extension. Client: City of York Council Value: £1.1 million

Byers Green Primary School
Primarilly the construction of a new single storey primary school with a timber frame structure including external works.The new building is a timber framed construction and traditional methods were used.  Exisitng gas, water and electrical services to the remaining school buildings ran through the site and had to be maintained in full use throughout the contract period.Client: Durham County CouncilValue: £1.4 million

Newlands Junior & Infants School
The refurbishment/ construction of a new Early Years Children's Centre, which is just one of the five that have been undertaken for Wakefield Metropolitan Borough Council.The construction includes a new flat roofed covered play area consisting of a steel framework and single layer flat roof with security shutters.Alterations works took place to existing classrooms with a small extension with a pitched tiled roof and cavity wall construction facing bricks and blocks.External works consisted of a 1200mm high fence to create a secure environment for the children.Client: Wakefield Metropolitan Borough CouncilValue: £300k

Lostock Hall, Preston
The project involved the demolition of an existing link corridor and the construction of a new two storey extension to accommodate a new dining area and classrooms. Other works included the refurbishment of a third floor within an existing teaching block. The school was fully operational throughout the contract period with the exception of school holidays. Hindley High School
Phased construction involving alterations to parts of exisiting building creating better facilities and access. The works included a new single storey SNE classroom block and classroom refurbishments. Client: Wigan MBC Value:£1.3m

St Mary's RC High School and Sixth Form College
Phased construction of new single storey extension accommodating new science laboratories in keeping with original old convent building. Other works included alterations and refurbishments to classrooms to provide 6th form student facilities and a new art extension with link to old school. Client: The Govenering Body of St Mary's Value: £1.8m

South Craven Primary School
Works involved the construction of a new single storey classroom science block with a number of pitched roofs set at various heights and spans. The school remained open for the vast majority of the construction period. Client: North Yorkshire County Council Value: £926k

The Redeemer CE Primary School
The construction of a new single storey two form entry Church of England Primary school. Steel frame structure accommodating 12 classrooms, reception class, staff room, headteachers office, secretary's office, IT room, associated facilities. Construction also incorporated a new community/worship centre. Client: Diocese of Blackburn Value: £3.7m

RAF Leeming County Primary School
Construction of new single storey extension to provide two classrooms and anxiliary facilities. Alterations to existing buildings plus the construction of a new link corridor were also included in the programme. Client:North Yorkshire County Council Value: £516k

All Hallows RC High School
Work comprised of a new detached three storey teaching block, demolition, adaptations and extensions to the Technology block, adaptations and extensions to the existing sports hall and associated facilities with various internal adaptations within the main school. The school remained operational throughout the contract period. Client: Shrewsbury Diocesan Trustees Value: £3.5m

Billingham Sports Hall
Works involved the refurbishment of the existing changing rooms and sports hall. Also included in the works was the construction of a new entrance and staorage rooms. Client: Stockton on Tees Value: £714k

Burnley Brow School
Works consisted of a two storey extension to the existing school building with sundry internal and external alterations. Also included in the works was mechanical and electrical installations, drainage and external works Client: Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council Value: £961k

Driffield Junior School
Phased construction of a single storey, three classrooms block. The extension included a new kitchen, hall, ancillary accommodation. Demolition and remodelling of existing school formed part of the works which were undertaken adjacent to a busy magistrate’s court Client: East Riding of Council Value: £1.1m

Dunnington Primary School
Works consisted of a single storey extension of steel frame construction with timber cladding and block work to exterior walls. Additional works included alterations to exisitng school including an extension for a play group unit, the construction of a new PE store plus new playground with paving, fencing and drainage. Client: City of York value: £480k

Ripon College and Grammar School
Two partnered projects which were run simultaneously with sites adjacent to each other. For Ripon College the works involved the construction of a new 2 storey library and classroom block with the demolition of part of the existing college to form a hard play area for basketball, tennis and 5 a-side football. For Ripon Grammar School the works involved the construction of a two storey IT and classroom block and demolition of a number of existing temporary buildings. The new build element of both projects was scheduled for 36 weeks with the College handed over three weeks early and the Grammar School five weeks early allowing both establishments to take possession prior to the start of the new school year.

Woodfield Primary School
A  new build two storey primary school in a restrictive site.Works included playgrounds, car parking and demolition of the existing school.  The site was bounded on all four sides by protected trees, therefore a "Geoweb" system was installed in order to spread the construction load thus preventing damage to delicate root systems.Client: Wigan CouncilValue: £2.6m

Manchester University - Simons Building
This project included the refurbishment of the university building's laboratory and teaching areas.  Also included was a new extension with a futuristic stairwell and lift shaft to improve access facilities. Client: University of Manchester Value: £1m

Standish High School, Wigan
The scheme comprised of a two storey extension, incorporating six new classrooms and a single storey drama studio to the rear of the existing school. The construction was of steel frame with “metsec” internal walls and brick work externally. External works included landscaping and car parks. Client: Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council Value: £1.2m

Layton Primary School, Blackpool
A new two storey classroom block with disabled access and lift,. Works included links to existing building plus play ground and associated external works. This extension to the school made it one of Blackpool's largest infant/junior schools.Client: Blackpool CouncilValue: £1.4m

Construction of a single storey extension to a performing arts/dance structure, including new IT suite and art rooms.The new streel framed structure linked the existing school buildings and different levels.Including external works and alterations to the existing building.
