Blackpool Business Enterprise Centre
For Blackpool Council Parkinson constructed a new three storey building built on a restrictive, brownfield site located on one of Blackpool's main artery roads leading onto its busy promenade. Works involved the demolition of a local swimming pool and retail units with the new build to accommodate local businesses. Sustainability systems were installed by way of roof mounted wind turbines. Client: Blackpool Council Value: £2.8m

Townscape Heritage Initiative
As part of the Heritage Initiative Parkinsons have completed two projects for Blackpool Council. The first the restoration of one of Blackpool's famous landmarks - The Cenotaph. Works had to be completed for the War Veterans Anniversary where a number of events were held to mark the anniversary. These included an absail down Blackpool Tower and RAF Tornado fly past. Works were actually completed 1 week early. The second project was the remodelling & refurbishment of an existing Crisis Support & Respite Centre to create new service facility and 1st Floor Office accommodation. The total value of these two project was £900k

Children Centres
The company's York office recently completed the last of 6 Children Centres for Wakefield MDC. The six projects were to construct Early Years Children Centres and consisted of the construction of single storey extensions with minor/major alterations and refurbishment. Project values ranged from £300k up to £700k.

Blackpool Sure Start
Newly constructed two storey building and a single storey extension to an existing community centre. Design incorporated internal curved walls and matching ceiling. Construction involved deep strip foundations, a steel frame and block cavity block walls with self coloured rendering. Client: Blackpool Council Value: £825k

Hindley High School
Phased construction involving DDA alterations which included external lift and ramps. A new single storey SEN block was constructed with links to existing building. Client: Wigan Borough Council Value: £1.3m

Hindley SureStart
Alterations to an existing SureStart building originally constructed by F Parkinson in 2005. The original works was to construct a two storey building to accommodate a surestart nursery.The most recent works undertaken at this site was for internal and external alterations.Client: Wigan Borough CouncilValue: £1.2million and £220k 

Benchill Sure Start
Single storey play centre, steel framed and brick construction. Extensive external works including an adventure playground, all weather sport pitches and car parking. Client: Manchester City Council Value: £1.1million

Municipal Buildings - Access to Services
Phased works to ensure minimal disruption to the client and customers. Works were extensive refurbishment to Blackpool Town Hall and Municipal Buildings to consolidate the towns's Access to Services initiative. Client: Blackpool Council Value: £5.3million

Layton Library
These works were to construct an extension to the existing library for the new IT facilities and entrance. Client: Blackpool Council Value: £400k

Layton Primary School
The construction of a new two storey block with disabled access and facilities including a link to the exisiting building. This extension made the school one of Blackpool's largest Primary Schools. Client: Blackpool Council Value: £1.4 million
